Morningstar was a shotgun-toting, beer drinking Staff Non-Commissioned Officer who wanted everyone to think he was somebody. He was,  a loyal, dedicated Marine with a heart as big as a barn door, who would give the shirt off his back, whether you needed it or not. You only had to ask for it.  I could and did depend upon him a lot. He was my Platoon Sergeant.
